Preparation :

  1. The first step in making Triphala powder is to harvest the fruits of Amalaki, Bibhitaki and Haritaki at their ripe stage which are typically available in certain regions of India and are collected when they are fully mature
  2. The harvested fruits should be thoroughly washed and cleaned to remove any dirt, contaminants or impurities
  3. After cleaning, the fruits are spread out on drying trays or racks a couple of weeks to completely remove the moisture from the fruits
  4. Once the fruits are fully dried, they become hard and brittle. They are then ground into a fine powder using a grinding machine or mill
  5. After grinding, the powdered mixture is passed through a sieve or mesh to remove any larger particles or impurities. This step helps ensure that the Triphala powder is smooth and free from any coarse fragments
  6. The powdered Amalaki, Bibhitaki and Haritaki are mixed together thoroughly to create the Triphala powder blend. The proportions of each fruit may vary depending on the desired formulation / requirement
  7. The final Triphala powder is then packaged in airtight containers to protect it from moisture and air
